Deleting a group listed the group and each of its layers as rows of their own, so one deletion read as four changes. Each row could be left out alone too, which allowed a merge to keep a group while deleting what it holds. A layer added or deleted with its container now folds under the outermost container added or deleted with it. The row says how many layers it holds and its checkbox takes them along, so they travel or stay together. The detail pane lists them as its contents. The filters, the footer, the merge button and the merge confirmation count the rows the list shows, so they agree with one another.
