A copy's applied tokens were one attribute outside every sync group, so when both sides applied different tokens to a component, every untouched copy showed a conflict of its own. The copy rule now covers applied tokens one slot at a time, as Penpot's own component sync does: a slot follows the component unless the sync group of the attribute it drives is overridden. A token applied to a copy by hand on one side wins, and only a slot both sides applied differently by hand stays a conflict. The side the user picks for that conflict decides only the open slots.
