feat(scheduler): push scheduled task results to IM channels via a notification outbox (#6135)
* feat(persistence): add notification delivery outbox for scheduled task IM push

New notification_deliveries table and repository (migration 0012) backing
the outbox pattern for issue #4254: idempotent enqueue keyed on task_run_id
plus event plus provider plus target, atomic claim of due rows, and
exponential-backoff retry state moving pending to sending to sent or failed.
Execution status stays in scheduled_task_runs; delivery status lives here.

* feat(scheduler): enqueue and deliver scheduled-task notifications over IM channels

Closes the loop for issue #4254. On run completion the scheduler writes
outbox rows for the task owner's connected channel identities (success and
failure events; interrupts stay silent), and a new NotificationDeliveryWorker
polls due rows and pushes them through the channel's proactive send path.
Channel gains send_notification; WeCom implements it via the WS client's
send_message with errcode checking, the base class raises for providers
without proactive push.

Delivery is best-effort and never shadows execution status: enqueue and send
failures are logged and recorded in the outbox, which retries with backoff.
Channel liveness is re-checked at delivery time, and the worker stops before
the channel service on shutdown. Feature activates only when channel
connections are enabled; no new dependencies.

Verified end to end against a live WeCom bot: scheduled run completion
produced an outbox row that was delivered in under one second.

* feat(scheduler): include scheduled run result summary in IM notifications

The v1 notification only carried the run outcome skeleton (status, task id,
run id). Completed runs now include the agent's final answer so the IM push
is actually useful headlessly.

- The delivery worker accepts an optional resolve_run_summary(run_id,
user_id) resolver; for run_completed events it enriches the rendered text
with a "Result:" line (bounded to 1000 chars). The lookup is best-effort:
resolver failures or missing summaries degrade to the skeleton text and
never block or fail the delivery.
- The summary is read at delivery time from runs.last_ai_message (the
convenience column written on run completion), not snapshotted into the
outbox payload; retried deliveries re-read the freshest value and the
outbox row payload stays skeleton-only. The claimed outbox row is never
 mutated in place.
- Gateway wiring scopes the read to the outbox row's owner_user_id so a
stale row cannot pull another user's run content.
- Failed runs keep the error-only skeleton: a partial answer on a failed
 run would be misleading.

Tests: 9 new worker cases (rendering incl. truncation, sync/async
resolvers, failure/missing fallbacks, no resolver call for failed runs).
Full scheduled + outbox + channels regression green (441 passed), ruff
check + format clean.

* fix(scheduler): address review feedback on notification delivery reliability

Review follow-ups for the scheduled-task IM notification outbox:

1. Crash recovery for "sending" rows: claim now stamps updated_at and the
worker reconciles rows stuck in "sending" past a 10-minute lease back to
"pending" before every claim. Per-row try/except isolates a crashing
delivery from the rest of the claimed batch.
2. Double-send race under multiple workers: claim returns exactly the rows
its own UPDATE...RETURNING flipped (guarded by status='pending'), so a
rival worker's concurrent claim can no longer be handed out twice.
3. Restore non-ASCII comments and drop the BOM accidentally introduced in
 test_scheduled_task_service.py.
4. Manual "run now" completions no longer enqueue IM notifications; the
user is already watching the UI. Missing trigger metadata fails safe
 towards notifying.
5. Channel-outage failures no longer consume the retry budget: they are
parked with count_attempt=False on a flat 15-minute backoff so an
hours-long outage cannot exhaust retries and drop the notification.

Tests: repository 16, worker 21, scheduled-task service 31; targeted
regression across notification/scheduler/channel suites: 511 passed.

* fix(scheduler): address round-2 review on IM notification delivery

Park WeCom transport/outage failures without burning retries, bound worker stop, include task titles, align enqueue with delivery, and document the IM push behavior.

Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com>

* docs(scheduler): complete IM notification docs and drop unused list API

Add backend/channels/migrations AGENTS notes, CHANGELOG and config.example hints for the outbox push path, and remove the unused list_by_task_run repository method flagged in review.

Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com>

* fix(scheduler): address round-3 review on IM notification delivery

Cap channel-down parking by row age and parked attempts, redact IM egress
content, narrow WeCom transport exceptions, add lifespan wiring tests, and
run ruff format so lint-backend passes.

Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com>

* fix(scheduler): redact entire PEM blocks in IM egress text

The previous BEGIN-only pattern left key material and the END marker in notifications.

Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com>

* fix(persistence): align 0014 parked_attempts with bootstrap schema tests

Backfill existing rows with a temporary server default, then drop it so create_all matches Alembic, and move HEAD anchors to 0014.

Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com>

* fix(persistence): format notification tests and shorten alembic revision id

ruff format --check failed on test_notification_delivery_worker.py.
0015_notification_delivery_parked_attempts exceeds alembic_version.version_num
(VARCHAR 32) and truncates on Postgres CI; use 0015_parked_attempts instead.

* test: fix post-merge CI failures after migration renumber

Update migration 0015 test HEAD expectation to 0017_parked_attempts and add queue_timeout_seconds to the lifespan notification worker mock scheduler config.

* fix(persistence): chain the notification outbox migrations after 0026

Main's head moved from 0016 to 0026_mcp_task_lease_tokens, so the two
outbox revisions are renumbered and re-parented:

- 0017_notification_deliveries -> 0027_notification_deliveries
- 0018_parked_attempts -> 0028_parked_attempts

Only the revision ids, parents and the migration guide change.

* fix(scheduler): adapt the notification hook and its docs to main

- tests: the completion tests assert on the atomic complete_run record;
new cases cover a completion that was not recorded, a task deleted
meanwhile, a failed task read, and the outbox being off.
- AGENTS.md: drop the root note and shorten the backend note to a pointer;
the two notes pushed two effective guidance chains past the 96 KiB limit.
- CHANGELOG: move the entry from the released 2.1.0 section to Unreleased
 and add its link references.

* test(persistence): move the chain-head pin to the outbox migrations

test_migration_0026 pinned 0026 as the head, so it failed once the outbox
revisions chained after it. It now checks chain membership like the older
migration tests, and a new test file owns the head pin, checks the parents
and the 32-character revision id limit, and runs the upgrade and downgrade.

* fix(gateway): wire scheduled-task notifications after the channel service starts

The outbox wiring sat in the scheduler block and asked for the running
channel service there. #5035 moved the channel service start to after the
scheduler, and the two changes merged without a conflict, so on every
startup the lookup returned None and the feature disabled itself with the
"write-only outbox" warning. The lifespan tests patched the lookup to a
constant and kept passing.

The wiring now runs in its own step after the channel service start. The
scheduler is built as on main, and ScheduledTaskService gains
attach_notification_outbox() so the enqueue side is enabled once the
delivery worker is running. The guard, the worker and the shutdown order
are unchanged.

Tests: the lifespan helper can model the real accessor (None until the
channel service has started); a new case fails without this fix.

* fix(scheduler): enqueue from scheduler start and keep the push when the title read fails

Follow-up to the startup-order fix, from review.

- The enqueue side is wired with the scheduler again (it only needs the
durable table), and only the delivery worker waits for the channel
service. Attaching it later left a window after the scheduler started in
which a finished run wrote no outbox row. If the channel service is
missing or the worker cannot start, the enqueue side is detached, so the
 outbox still never becomes write-only.
- A failed task read after complete_run no longer drops the notification:
the title is optional and the message falls back to the task id. A task
 deleted meanwhile still stays silent.

* fix(channels): park WeCom notifications while the SDK socket is closed

The WeCom SDK raises a plain RuntimeError when its socket is not open, and
send_notification only mapped ConnectionError, TimeoutError and OSError to
ChannelUnavailable. A disconnect therefore spent the counted retry budget
and settled the row as failed after about 15 minutes, although the docs
say transport outages park without consuming retries.

send_notification now asks the client's is_connected first. The new test
uses a real, never-connected SDK client: it raised RuntimeError after three
retries before, and parks now.

* docs(scheduler): describe which outcomes notify; mirror the changelog entry

- README (en/zh) and CONFIGURATION.md: only runs that finish as success or
failed notify; occurrences that end without a finished run (launch error,
queue timeout, restart recovery) do not. Parking lasts up to about a day.
- CHANGELOG: cite the issue as text like the rest of the file, and add the
entry and link reference to CHANGELOG_zh.md.
- AGENTS.md: drop the backend pointer so this branch adds nothing to the
guidance chains closest to their size limit; the scheduler-side rules
and the lifespan order now live in app/channels/AGENTS.md.

* docs(changelog): cite #6135 next to #4843 for the notification outbox entry

* fix(scheduler, channels): re-check the IM binding at delivery time; park WeCom transport errors, count its rejections

Review round 1 on #6135.

The delivery worker now takes resolve_connections (the Gateway wires
ChannelConnectionRepository.list_connections) and, before the channel
liveness check and the summary read, requires the row's owner to still
hold a connected (provider, external_account_id). A disconnected target
is finalized with mark_failed(terminal=True); a lookup failure or an
unexpected result shape parks the row. Terminal outbox rows ignore
later status writes.

WeCom: the SDK raises RuntimeError from send_message for a socket that
is not open and for a dropped connection, but also for a platform
rejection ("Reply ack error: errcode=..."). Only that prefix keeps
counting; other RuntimeErrors, ConnectionError/TimeoutError/OSError and
websockets' ConnectionClosed park the row as ChannelUnavailable.

* fix(channels): treat a WeCom ACK rejection as proof the transport is up; pin the rejection prefix through the retry branch and the real connection-row shape

fix(channels): point the Discord missing-dependency hint at the discord extra (#6054)
* test(scripts): cover discord extra auto-detection

The discord mapping in scripts/detect_uv_extras.py worked but was neither
listed in the "currently maps" docstring nor covered by a test, unlike the
buzz mapping that grew up beside it.

* fix(channels): point the Discord missing-dependency hint at the discord extra

discord.py is the only IM transport that is not a core dependency — it ships in
the optional `discord` extra, which detect_uv_extras.py, backend/Dockerfile and
deploy.sh already expand. Its ImportError hint told users to run `uv add
discord.py` instead, which rewrites pyproject.toml/uv.lock in a tree every
restart syncs with `--locked`. Mirror the buzz hint wording and note the extra
in config.example.yaml next to the buzz block.

fix(skills): drain custom-skill mutation tails across cancellation (#6078)
* fix(skills): drain custom-skill mutation tails across cancellation

* fix(skills): log drained skill mutation failures and drain state/install tails

Address review feedback on #6078: record cancelled-then-failed mutation
tails inside the drained unit (exception type only, per the managed-models
precedent), and extend the drained tail to the remaining write-to-cache
shapes in update_skill and the skill install path.

* test(skills): pin the lock contract under the drained cancellation timing

The cancelled update_skill caller now drains its mutation tail, so
CancelledError surfaces only after the tail settles. Start the MCP
writer without awaiting the cancelled task first, assert the section
stays owned while the drained tail is in flight, then await both and
assert the final order.

fix(channels): split Telegram messages by UTF-16 code units, not code points (#6067)
* fix(channels): split Telegram messages by UTF-16 code units, not code points

* perf(telegram): clip stream previews without walking the whole reply

Every cumulative stream update measured the full answer and then split the full
answer to keep only its first chunk, so a long reply cost two complete passes
per update on the async channel path. _first_utf16_chunk stops at the first
character that does not fit, and the preview is built from that bounded prefix.

The tests now measure chunk length with the UTF-16 codec instead of a copy of
the production formula, cover the width helper and the bounded clip directly,
and fail if the preview stops being bounded by the limit.

fix(uploads): reject reserved staging filenames before batch ingestion (#6122)
* fix(uploads): reject filenames reserved for temporary staging

Guard thread and shelf upload names, validate SDK batches before copying, and preserve legacy shelf downloads. Add regression coverage and document the reserved staging namespace.

* fix(uploads): report reserved names before HTTP batch ingestion

Preflight reserved staging basenames before thread storage or sandbox setup. Return HTTP 400 with a rename hint; add HTTP and strict blocking-I/O regressions and update upload documentation.

* fix(uploads): reject Windows-style staging basenames on POSIX

Normalize backslashes before the HTTP reserved-name preflight. Add POSIX basename regressions for single and mixed batches and strict blocking-I/O coverage. Clarify the preflight scope and upload documentation.

fix(channels): keep blocking SDK teardown off the event loop in stop() (#6134)
* fix(channels): keep blocking SDK teardown off the event loop in stop()

SlackChannel.stop() called SocketModeClient.close() inline. close() joins
the SDK's message-processor thread (~0.7s every call, measured) and waits
for in-flight listeners, whose blocking Web API calls can run up to the
WebClient timeout, so every run, stream and channel on the Gateway stalled
during shutdown and POST /api/channels/{name}/restart.

Feishu and DingTalk had the same shape: they joined their SDK threads
inline with a 5s timeout, and since those threads only return on a fatal
error, the join normally froze the loop for the full 5s.

The teardown now runs through asyncio.to_thread. Slack detaches the client
first so a still-queued connect skips it, and shields and tracks the close
task so a cancelled stop() leaves it running and a retried stop() awaits
the same close instead of closing twice.

tests/blocking_io/test_channel_stop_offloop.py anchors all three stop()
paths to the strict Blockbuster gate, driving a real slack-sdk client.

* docs(changelog): reference #6134

* fix(channels): join the Discord client thread off the event loop in stop()

DiscordChannel.stop() still joined its client thread inline with a 10s
timeout. The thread usually exits right after the cross-loop client close,
but a timed-out close or a slow _run_client() drain keeps it alive for the
whole timeout, stalling the shared Gateway loop the same way the Slack,
Feishu and DingTalk teardown did. Run the join through asyncio.to_thread so
stop() matches the channels/AGENTS.md teardown rule, and add Discord to the
strict Blockbuster anchor.

fix(auth): reject a non-ASCII ID token nonce instead of raising (#6115)
* fix(auth): reject a non-ASCII ID token nonce instead of raising

The nonce comparison in validate_id_token still used the local
secrets.compare_digest on str operands, which raises TypeError when either
side holds non-ASCII characters. The nonce claim is provider-controlled
text, so such a provider response turned the callback's sso_failed redirect
(OIDCValidationError) into an unhandled 500.

Route it through the shared constant_time_equals helper #6076 introduced
for the same five compare sites, and drop the now-unused local helper.

* fix(auth): reject a non-string ID token nonce claim like a mismatch

A provider returning a truthy non-string nonce claim (e.g. an int)
slipped past the missing-claim guard and crashed the comparison helper
with AttributeError, which the callback turned into a 500 instead of
the sso_failed redirect. Guard the claim type before comparing so every
malformed nonce takes the same OIDCValidationError path.

fix(gateway): drain agent and user-profile writes across cancellation (#6087)
* fix(gateway): drain agent and user-profile writes across cancellation

A client that disconnects mid-request cancels the handler task. On the four
persistent-write endpoints of /api/agents - create, update, delete, and the
USER.md write - a bare asyncio.to_thread then either cancels a still-queued
worker (the write silently never happens) or detaches from a running one and
drops its failure, because the handler's except never runs.

Route the four writes through await_drained like the managed-subagent (#6023),
managed-model (#6024), and custom-skill (#6078) mutations, logging a lost
worker failure with the exception type only before the drain consumes it.
Expected domain errors (AgentExistsError on create) re-raise unlogged; the
caller still maps them to a 409 while connected. Reads stay bare: abandoning
them loses nothing.

* fix(gateway): address review nits on the agents write drain

Make expected_errors a positional-only parameter before *args so the
ParamSpec signature is checker-clean under PEP 612 (the one call site with
extra worker arguments passes () explicitly), acknowledge that
non-cancelled failures log twice like artifacts.py's drained commit does,
and drop the unused request stub helper from the tests.

fix(agents): anchor agent-name validation against a trailing newline (#5960)
* fix(agents): anchor agent-name validation against a trailing newline

Two copies of the shared ^[A-Za-z0-9-]+$ grammar still used re.match,
whose $ also matches before a final newline, while every other copy uses
fullmatch. POST /api/agents {"name": "reviewer\n"} therefore passed the
router guard and died inside the strict file store as an HTTP 500, and
DeerMem accepted the same name as an agents/{name}/facts directory.

* test(agents): state which trailing-newline params the regression actually covered

.match only accepted "reviewer\n" on main; "reviewer\n\n" and "reviewer \n"
were already rejected, so the docstrings should not read as if every param in
these parametrizations was broken before the fix.

fix(gateway): reject non-ASCII tokens instead of raising in constant-time compares (#6076)
* fix(gateway): reject non-ASCII tokens instead of raising in constant-time compares

hmac.compare_digest raises TypeError when a str operand holds non-ASCII
characters. Starlette decodes header bytes as latin-1 and query values as
UTF-8, so a single 0xE9 byte in a CSRF token, GitHub webhook signature,
internal auth token, or OIDC state turned the expected 403/401 into a 500.

Route the five client-facing comparisons through a new
app.gateway.utils.constant_time_equals helper that compares the UTF-8
encodings ("surrogatepass" so even a lone surrogate cannot raise). ASCII
results are unchanged, and no bypass was possible before the fix.

* fix(provisioner): reject non-ASCII API keys instead of raising; drive OIDC test over HTTP

The standalone provisioner compared X-API-Key with secrets.compare_digest on
str operands, so a non-ASCII header raised TypeError (500) the same way the
Gateway sites did. It cannot import app.gateway, so encode inline.

The OIDC state regression test now mounts the auth router and sends the
percent-encoded state through a real signed state cookie instead of stubbing
get_state_cookie and calling the handler directly.

fix(sandbox): expose DEERFLOW_USER_ID to every bash command (#6058)
* fix(sandbox): expose DEERFLOW_USER_ID to bash commands

A skill's SKILL.md can trigger scripts, but those scripts run as bash
subprocesses inside the sandbox and cannot reach the Gateway auth context,
so get_effective_user_id() is unavailable to them and user-scoped skills
are impossible to write. The maintainer settled the direction on #3919:
inject the id as DEERFLOW_USER_ID.

Every bash command now begins with 'export DEERFLOW_USER_ID=<resolved>; '
(or 'unset' when the resolved id is unusable), mirroring the existing
DEERFLOW_CHANNEL_USER_ID channel-identity prefix (#3914). The id rides the
command string rather than execute_command(env=...), because a non-empty env
switches AioSandbox to the bash.exec API reserved for request-scoped secrets.

The earlier attempt (#4029) was closed for making every command carry the
new export without updating the exact-command assertions in
tests/test_channel_user_id_env.py. Those assertions are updated here, and the
composition of the two prefixes is pinned by a dedicated test.

* fix(sandbox): fix the DEERFLOW_USER_ID unit test and cover review findings

Follow-up to the review on this PR.

Unit test (CI `backend-unit-tests (2)`): the change moved the command
contract but left the exact-command assertion in
tests/test_skill_request_scoped_secrets.py::test_local_bash_forwards_env_and_timeout
expecting the bare `echo hi`. The local validation run used a `-k` filter that
did not select that file, so the breakage was invisible there. The assertion
now pins the composed command, and `_is_windows` is patched explicitly so it no
longer depends on the host OS.

[P2] Windows local sandbox: `export` is invalid under the PowerShell/cmd.exe
fallback, but skipping the prefix outright left the promise unmet on Windows.
The id is published through `execute_command(env=...)` there instead:
LocalSandbox layers `env` into the per-process environment and, unlike
AioSandbox, has no persistent session that could carry a stale value. It is
deliberately kept out of `injected_env` so the identifier does not enter the
secret-redaction set.

Docstring: `_user_identity_prefix` now carries the same "informational, not
authenticated identity" caveat the channel variable has in
backend/app/channels/AGENTS.md. The value is authorization-grade at the Gateway
boundary, but any bash command can overwrite its own environment, so skills
must not treat the shell variable as proof of identity.

Docs: the en/zh sandbox.mdx identity sections and the channels/AGENTS.md
identity paragraph now describe the second, outermost prefix, its ordering
against the channel prefix, and the Windows behaviour.

fix(goal): show the goal evaluator the tool calls and results (#6068)
* fix(goal): show the goal evaluator the tool calls and results

The evaluator read only the text of user and assistant messages and was told
to fail closed without explicit evidence, so it stood down with
missing_evidence on most completed file tasks: the tool calls and tool
results that the web UI shows never reached it.

Include the assistant's tool calls and the tools' results inside the
existing message window, shortened (200 characters per argument value, 600
per step, line breaks kept), and tell the evaluator to treat tool results as
data, that a successful tool call alone does not meet a goal, and that a
guessed input means needs_user_input. The no-progress and final-clear
signatures are unchanged.

* fix(goal): tighten the evaluator's tool evidence after review

- Pair each tool result with the latest call of its id before it. Some
providers reuse ids such as call_0 across turns, and the window-wide
map labelled an earlier read with a later write's name.
- Keep model-supplied tool names on one line in calls and result labels,
and escape U+0085, U+2028 and U+2029 in arguments and results, which
json.dumps(ensure_ascii=False) leaves raw, so no tool step can start a
 new evidence line.
- Leave out the results of a hidden assistant message's calls. The web UI
renders a result only under its call, so neither shows there either.
A clarification prompt stays: the UI shows it as its own card.
- Over the 12,000-char cap, keep whole lines from the end instead of
slicing mid-line. Keep the latest user message that the cut drops at
the top, whole when it and the lines after it fit, else shortened to
2,000 chars. If the next assistant message back does not fit whole,
keep its end in the room left. A marker counts the lines left out.
- Docs: the Gateway AGENTS.md and a worker docstring no longer say the
 evaluator never sees tool messages.

fix(persistence): reject SQLite file: URIs instead of opening them as filenames (#6069)
* fix(persistence): reject SQLite file: URIs instead of opening them as filenames

resolve_sqlite_conn_str passed a file: connection string through
unchanged, but LangGraph's SQLite checkpointer and Store factories
(SqliteSaver, SqliteStore, AsyncSqliteSaver, AsyncSqliteStore) connect
without uri=True, so SQLite treated the whole URI as a literal filename:
file:checkpoints.db?mode=rwc created a file with that exact name in the
working directory, file::memory:?cache=shared persisted to disk, and a
file:/// URI failed to open. The readiness probe did open URIs with
uri=True, so it checked a different file than the runtime used and
reported in-memory URIs as not_configured.

Reject file: URIs in resolve_sqlite_conn_str, the one helper all four
factories go through, with an error that names
checkpointer.connection_string. The probe drops its URI parsing and
reports a rejected connection string as unreachable.

fix(channels): decode Slack entity escapes in inbound message text (#6045)
* fix(channels): decode Slack entity escapes in inbound message text

Slack sends a user-typed &, < and > as &, < and > in event text, so raw <...> always marks a control sequence. The Slack channel passed that text to the agent as-is, so code, comparisons and names like R&D reached the agent as 'a < b', 'R&D'. Decode the three entities after bot-mention stripping (amp last, so an escaped entity is decoded once) and keep mentions and links untouched.

fix(gateway): render the bundled interpreter repair path without backslash escapes (#6040)
* fix(gateway): render the bundled interpreter repair path without backslash escapes

The repair hint used {sys.executable!r}, whose repr() escapes Windows
backslashes - users saw 'D:\college\...\python.exe' in the
copy-paste guidance, and
test_stale_bundled_interpreter_can_be_repaired_without_reinstall fails
3/3 on Windows because the raw path never appears in the detail. The
!r was written for the surrounding quotes; on POSIX paths that is its
only effect, which is why CI never saw it.

Quote the raw path explicitly instead. On Windows the three test params
now pass (22/22 in the file); POSIX output is unchanged apart from the
quoting coming from the literal instead of repr().

* fix(gateway): json-escape the interpreter command in the repair hint

Review follow-up (P2): the raw Windows path in the hint cannot be
pasted into the server's JSON ('\U' is not a JSON escape), so the
prescribed repair could not be saved. Show the command value via
json.dumps(sys.executable) - pasteable JSON on every platform - and
keep the raw path in a parenthetical for terminal use, per review.

fix(integrations): keep Lark runtime status consistent (#5994)
* fix(integrations): keep Lark runtime status consistent

Probe sandbox runtime readiness for every Lark mutation response outside the credential lock. Expose explicit sandbox_runtime_probed state so the frontend can distinguish conservative fallbacks without inferring semantics from runtime detail text, while cancelling stale reads before updating the cache.

* style(frontend): format Lark cache test

* fix(integrations): snapshot Lark credential status under the lock

Why this change is needed:
PR #5994 moved the post-mutation status read outside the per-user
credential lock so the new sandbox runtime probe would not extend the
critical section. As flagged in review, that lets a concurrent app
switch or auth flow land between the committed mutation and the status
read; in remote-provisioner mode the runtime probe can spend seconds
before probe_lark_auth runs, so the raced switch can clear the new
tokens and make a completed login report success=false, or mix an old
app_id with a newer auth state.

What changed:
- add _LarkCredentialSnapshot (app config + auth probe) and capture it
in the same _lark_credential_lock section that commits the mutation
- thread the snapshot through _get_lark_mutation_status into
 get_lark_integration_status(credential_snapshot=...); only the
credential-independent runtime probe still runs after the lock
- apply to complete_lark_auth, complete_lark_config, and
set_lark_app_credentials; install keeps the one-shot status build

Problem solved:
Mutation responses stay tied to the just-committed credential
generation: a raced app switch can no longer flip a completed
device-code login to success=false or blend a stale app_id with newer
auth state, while the runtime probe stays off the lock.

* fix(integrations): address Lark status review follow-ups

- install_lark_integration: snapshot credential-derived status fields
under _lark_credential_lock so the install response cannot mix newer
credential state read across the unlocked runtime probe
- useInstallLarkIntegration: route the cache write through
cacheLarkMutationStatus so install cancels in-flight reads and keeps
probed runtime fields under frontend/backend version skew
- README: soften the UI claim - the status API exposes
sandbox_runtime_probed and the mutation cache honors it

* test(integrations): tighten Lark status fixtures and guidance docs

- cache.test: use a distinct mutation runtime mode in the unprobed-merge
case so the assertions prove the cached runtime fields win
- e2e mock: include broker in the sandbox_runtime_mode union cast so the
 fixture cannot drift from LarkSandboxRuntimeMode
- AGENTS.md (gateway + skills): mention sandbox_runtime_probed alongside
the existing runtime readiness fields, keeping the gateway guidance
 file under its byte budget

* fix(integrations): harden Lark mutation cache against skew and races

- cacheLarkMutationStatus: await cancelQueries before writing so an
in-flight GET whose fetch already resolved cannot clobber the fresher
mutation status, matching the existing threads/archive pattern
- self-heal version skew: an unprobed (pre-field backend) mutation
response now triggers a status refetch instead of risking the
conservative runtime fallback lingering until the next focus/remount
- api: normalize a missing sandbox_runtime_probed to false at the
boundary so the declared-non-optional type matches skewed runtimes
- tests: pin the skew contract (missing-field cases for cache and api)
and add a useInstallLarkIntegration regression test proving the
install cache write goes through cacheLarkMutationStatus
- README: describe the probed flag as cross-version semantics instead of
claiming the same-version API surfaces both states
- lark_cli: note that install's credential snapshot runs the auth probe
subprocess while holding the credential lock

* refactor(integrations): derive sandbox_runtime_probed inside the resolver

_resolve_sandbox_runtime_readiness now returns a fourth probed element
next to the branch that produces the unevaluated remote fallback, so the
'was readiness actually evaluated' invariant can no longer drift from the
fallback logic it mirrors. Callers and resolver-level tests updated to
pin probed per branch.

fix(mcp): close thread-scoped MCP sessions on thread deletion (#5956)
* fix(mcp): close thread-scoped MCP sessions on thread deletion

Deleting a thread removed its filesystem data, checkpoints, runs, events,
feedback, metadata and browser session, but never closed its persistent MCP
sessions. MCPSessionPool.close_scope() had no production caller at all, so a
recreated thread id under the same user could reuse stale stateful MCP server
state, and the leaked owner task plus subprocess kept holding memory and file
descriptors.

Add MCPSessionPool.close_thread_scope(user_id, thread_id) and call it from the
reserved deletion path under the same best-effort policy as the neighbouring
cleanups. It matches every incarnation of the thread -- the legacy user:thread
scope and any v2:[user, thread, incarnation] scope -- because a deletion cannot
reliably read the current incarnation: the record may predate incarnation
tracking, and a new incarnation can be minted concurrently. close_scope() is
unchanged for callers that already hold one exact key.

Add mcp_scope_belongs_to_thread() to own the matching rule, and hoist the v2:
prefix into a shared constant so the encoder and matcher cannot drift.

fix(channels): grant sandbox read bits to Feishu/DingTalk inbound uploads (#5998)
The channel manager persists inbound attachments with
`write_upload_file_no_symlink` (root-owned, mode 0o600) and then relaxes them
to group/other readable via `_make_inbound_file_sandbox_readable`. In
AIO/Docker sandbox mode the sandbox runs as a non-root user on the bind-mounted
thread directory, so without those bits the file is unreadable and the agent
sees an empty attachment. The HTTP upload route applies the same permit.

`FeishuChannel._receive_single_file` and `DingTalkChannel._receive_single_file`
persist their own bytes and hand back a virtual path instead of routing content
through the manager, so neither reached that permit:

- Feishu leaves `msg.files` populated with `file_key` descriptors, but the
manager's `_read_http_inbound_file` requires a `url` key, so its ingest pass
reads no data and skips the upload.
- DingTalk clears `msg.files`, so the ingest pass returns immediately.

Telegram is unaffected because it hands raw bytes to the manager through
`INBOUND_FILE_CONTENT_KEY`, which is why it was covered when the permit was
added. Apply `apply_upload_sandbox_permits(..., S_IRGRP | S_IROTH)` right after
each channel's own write, off the event loop, mirroring the manager and HTTP
paths.

Tests: `test_channel_file_attachments.py` gains a mounted-provider regression
per channel asserting the persisted upload is group/other readable.

fix(gateway): load skills off the event loop in the listing and detail routes (#5945)
* fix(gateway): load skills off the event loop in the listing and detail routes

GET /api/skills, GET /api/skills/custom and GET /api/skills/{name} called
load_skills() inline. Resolving the caller's storage builds absolute
paths, and load_skills walks every public and custom skill directory and
parses each SKILL.md, so the work grows with the number of installed
skills. #5747 moved the same call off the loop for get_custom_skill and
documented why; these three routes were missed, and the strict
Blockbuster gate raises BlockingError on each of them.

Offload the load through one shared _load_user_skills helper (also used
by update_skill's reload), and add a gate module covering the three
routes including get_skill's 404 branch.

fix(gateway): close pooled MCP sessions on shutdown (#5961)
* fix(gateway): close pooled MCP sessions on shutdown

The Gateway lifespan closes the browser session manager on the way out but
never closed MCPSessionPool, so every pooled MCP session was abandoned when
the worker exited: the owner task's transport __aexit__ never ran and a stdio
MCP server or SSE/HTTP connection had no orderly teardown.

MCPSessionPool.close_all() already existed for exactly this and had no
production caller -- only the config-retirement path used close_all_sync().
The async form is the right one here: close_all_sync()'s own docstring directs
callers running inside a live event loop to await close_all() instead of
signalling and returning.

Wired into lifespan shutdown with the same bounded, best-effort shape as the
neighbouring browser-session hook.

fix(gateway): keep /api/user-profile filesystem work off the event loop (#5935)
* fix(gateway): keep /api/user-profile filesystem work off the event loop

GET and PUT /api/user-profile resolved the per-user USER.md path (which
builds absolute paths on every call), stat'ed, read, created the user
bucket and wrote the file inline on the event loop, while every other
handler in the custom-agent router offloads that work with
asyncio.to_thread. The strict Blockbuster gate raises BlockingError on
both; in production a slow disk stalls every other request on the worker.

Offload the whole resolve-stat-read and resolve-mkdir-write sequences,
capturing the effective user id on the loop first like the sibling
handlers. The blocking-IO gate test for this router now covers both
profile routes (missing profile, write, read back).

feat(authz): add plugin resource targets, provenance, action and management enforcement (#5842)
* feat(authz): add plugin resource targets, provenance, action and management enforcement

PR1 of the extension-tool-authorization series
(docs/plans/2026-09-24-extension-tool-authorization-spec.md): plugin
authorization plumbing, no new author-facing declaration.

- `authz/plugin_targets.py` is the single encoder/validator for composite
targets (`namespace/part`), with one validating composer behind three
kind-checked constructors; invalid input raises instead of degrading.
- `authz/plugin_authz.py` is the harness decision layer (`plugin_action`,
`plugin_management`, plus the batch filters the page slice will consume):
disabled is a no-op, an explicit deny raises, and provider errors follow
 `fail_closed` like the sandbox gate.
- `POST /api/plugins/{ns}/actions/{name}` decides `plugin_action:invoke`
after the action resolves and before the body is streamed.
- `deerflow_extension_api.auth` publishes `require_plugin_management` /
`arequire_plugin_management` with two `app.state` resolver keys; the
Gateway installs both. Contract version 0.2.3 -> 0.2.4.
- `tools/tool_provenance.py` records host-written plugin provenance for
display (assembly descriptor, Layer-2 context later); no decision reads a
 label.
- Plugin providers use a `(config signature, loop key)` cache so a
loop-affine provider is never handed to another loop or to a sync caller.
- RBAC gains `plugin_actions` / `plugin_management` aliases;
 `config_version` 47 -> 48 across the three mirrors.

Tests: new plugin target/provenance/action/management suites plus a
blocking-IO anchor whose offloads were reverted to prove red->green.

* fix(authz): decide plugin resources from the request's config snapshot

Review round 1 on PR #5842 (willem-bd).

P1 — the decision layer no longer reloads the configuration. The six
`authz/plugin_authz.py` functions take a required `app_config` snapshot (the
same request-scoped config the Gateway used to resolve the provider), and
`resolve_/aresolve_plugin_authorization` return it as a third element, so
`enabled`/`fail_closed` can never come from a second read that drifted from
the one that produced the provider. A snapshot the caller could not read at
all is *unavailable*, not disabled: it fails closed as
`authz.config_unavailable`. The Gateway's `_plugin_app_config` now separates
an absent `config.yaml` (no gate, today's behavior) from a config that exists
but cannot be read or validated (deny) instead of swallowing both through
`safe_app_config`.

P2 — `_validated_decision` requires `type(decision.allow) is bool` on both
the sync `authorize` and async `aauthorize` paths, so a provider returning
`AuthzDecision(allow="false")` is a malformed verdict that follows
`fail_closed` instead of being read as an allow.

Both fixes are covered by regression tests that were verified red against the
pre-fix behavior (P1: 200 vs 403 and resolver True vs False; P2: 12 cases
across fail_closed/fail_open and sync/async), plus tests pinning that an
absent config and `authorization.enabled: false` keep today's behavior.

* fix(authz): treat a request-time config absence as unavailable

Review round 2 on PR #5842 (willem-bd).

P1 — `_plugin_app_config[_async]` no longer maps a missing `config.yaml` to
`None` ("no gate"). A Gateway cannot have started without a readable config
(`app/gateway/app.py` reads it through this same accessor in `lifespan`), so
absence *during a request* means the configuration this process was running on
became unavailable — a hot reload, an atomic replace, a ConfigMap remount. It is
unavailable, not disabled: the error propagates,
`resolve_/aresolve_plugin_authorization` raise
`_PluginAuthorizationUnavailable(fail_closed=True)`, the action dispatcher
returns 403 and the management resolvers answer `False`. The dead
`(None, None, None)` allow path is gone, the resolvers return a non-optional
`AppConfig` as their third element, and callers key "authorization disabled" on
`provider is None` alone. This matches the rule the decision layer already
documented (`authz.config_unavailable`) and the public docs.

P2 — `_deny_reason_code` is total: a `reasons` that is not iterable degrades the
code to `authz.denied` instead of raising `TypeError` outside the guarded
provider path, which turned a denial into an unhandled error. It is deliberately
not folded into `_validated_decision`: `allow` was a real `bool`, so the verdict
is a valid denial, and treating it as malformed would flip it to an allow under
`fail_closed: false`.

Both fixes are covered by regression tests verified red against the pre-fix
behavior (P1: resolver True vs False, async `PermissionError` not raised, route
200 vs 403; P2: `TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not iterable` at
`plugin_authz.py:113`). The action-route tests in
`tests/test_plugin_contributions.py` now install a readable
`authorization.enabled: false` config instead of relying on a config-less
process, and `docs/full-stack-plugins.md` plus the PR1 decision log record the
new rule.

* fix(authz): apply the running policy when the plugin config is unreadable

Follow-up to f03d2ea9 (review round 2 on PR #5842, willem-bd).

The first attempt read the P1 finding as "absence is never disabled" and failed
every config read closed unconditionally. That is too broad for this repo: a
config-less host is deliberately treated as having no policy to apply
(`_get_route_authorization_config` falls back to a disabled config,
`sandbox_authz.safe_app_config` documents the same no-op for "CI runners and
direct-call tests"), and the rule turned the config-less e2e plugin host
(`extension_test_fixtures.bookmark_plugin_gateway`) into a 403 — the three
`bookmark-plugin.spec.ts` cases lost the save action. Reproduced locally:
`POST /api/plugins/community.bookmarks/actions/save` against that fixture host
returned 403 before, 200 after this change.

The rule is now "has this process loaded a configuration?", not "was the last
read successful?":

- No loaded config (`peek_loaded_app_config()`, new read-only accessor on
`deerflow.config.app_config`) and no `config.yaml`: no policy to apply, so the
gate stays a no-op — unchanged for CI runners, direct-call tests and hosts
that mount only the plugins router.
- A loaded config whose file disappears or cannot be read: *unavailable*, never
*disabled*. The resolvers raise `_PluginAuthorizationUnavailable` carrying the
failure flag of the configuration this process runs on (authorization
 disabled there -> no gate; enabled -> that policy's `fail_closed`, `True` by
default), so an enabled Gateway answers 403/False in the window instead of
letting protected plugin actions and management routes through.
- A config file that exists but cannot be read or validated right now: fail
closed when nothing is loaded (round 1's rule), otherwise the loaded policy
 decides.

`peek_loaded_app_config()` is preferred over a Gateway-side startup snapshot: it
reflects the last successfully loaded config, so a hot-reloaded policy is what
applies during the window, and there is no lifecycle hook to keep in sync.

Evidence: the three no-config/lost-config branches in
`tests/test_plugin_management_guard.py` and
`tests/test_plugin_action_authorization.py`, round 1's unreadable-config tests
unchanged, `test_peek_loaded_app_config_survives_a_missing_file` in
`tests/test_app_config_reload.py`, and the fixture-host probe above. Docs
(`docs/full-stack-plugins.md`, `reference.mdx` en/zh) and the PR1 decision log
state the final rule; the log records the superseded variant.

* fix(authz): keep a denial whose reasons raise while being read

* fix(authz): intersect plugin batch filters with the candidates

The plugin_page/plugin_management batch helpers returned the provider's
`filter_resources` answer verbatim, so a custom provider could hand the
projections a target that was never asked about ("*", another namespace,
a phantom page). Every other filter call site re-projects from its own
candidate list; do the same here, state the intersection on the provider
contract, and pin it with a regression test that fails on the old
pass-through.

* docs(plugins): map a management denial to 403 in the route example

The contributed-route example called `arequire_plugin_management` and let
the documented `PermissionError` escape. The Gateway installs no
`PermissionError` handler, so a route copied from the example answered 500
on a normal policy denial instead of 403. Both example routes now translate
the denial, and the surrounding bullets say why the translation is the
route's job.

* docs(extensions): point the 0.2.4 contract row at the PR that ships it

Every other row in the version-history table links the pull request that
shipped the version; 0.2.4 linked the authorization tracking issue instead.
Both the English and Chinese tables now link this PR.

fix(gateway): treat a blank GATEWAY_WORKERS and Lark broker port/timeout as unset (#5840)
Follows #5801 for the remaining numeric env reads that break on an empty
value (`-e VAR=`, or `${VAR}` with VAR unset):

- The WeChat QR worker guard read a blank GATEWAY_WORKERS as an invalid
count and refused QR login, although the compose command starts one
worker for it (`--workers ${GATEWAY_WORKERS:-1}`) and the other worker
checks treat it as 1. A blank value now falls through to WEB_CONCURRENCY
and then 1, so the guard still fails closed for real multi-worker setups.
- The Lark broker aborted startup on int("") for a blank
DEERFLOW_LARK_BROKER_PORT or DEERFLOW_LARK_BROKER_TIMEOUT; it now uses the
 defaults.

* fix(slack): log Socket Mode connect failures instead of dropping them

SlackChannel.start() ran SocketModeClient.connect() through
loop.run_in_executor() and discarded the returned future. When the
connect raised (rejected app token, network error, TLS failure) the
exception was stored on a future nothing awaited, so the only trace was
asyncio's "Future exception was never retrieved" at garbage collection.
Meanwhile the channel had already logged "Slack channel started" and
reported itself running.

Route the executor call through _connect_socket_mode(), which logs the
failure with logger.exception() the way the Telegram and Discord channel
threads already do. The regression test injects a failing connect and
asserts the error reaches the channel logger.

feat(models): add declarative reasoning capability contract (#5780)
* feat(models): add declarative reasoning capability contract (#5073)

Introduce an optional per-model `reasoning:` block beside the legacy
`supports_thinking` / `supports_reasoning_effort` booleans. It declares
thinking availability (unsupported | optional | required), the accepted
effort values with aliases, default, and serialization path, the payload
dialect, and the reasoning-history requirement. When present the booleans
are derived from it and contradictory profiles fail at config load.

`deerflow.models.reasoning` normalizes legacy and declared profiles into
one immutable contract and resolves every caller's generic request against
it. `create_chat_model` is the single enforcement point: required-thinking
models never receive a synthesized disable payload, unsupported effort
values never reach the provider, and the dialect synthesizes the on/off
payload when no template exists. Legacy profiles keep the historical path
byte-for-byte. The lead agent and subagent descriptor resolve the same
policy first so run metadata reports effective values.

`/api/models` and `DeerFlowClient` project the contract as `reasoning`;
the frontend derives mode clamping and effort choices from it through
`core/models/reasoning.ts`, and user preferences accept provider-specific
effort tokens. The setup wizard's Z.AI GLM-5.3-Flash profile migrates to
the contract, restoring its low/high/max effort control.

* docs(models): move the reasoning contract guidance into models/AGENTS.md

backend/AGENTS.md sits within 46 bytes of the 96 KiB effective-chain hard
limit for the middlewares, runtime, sandbox, and subagents guides, so the
new section pushed scripts/check_agent_guidance.py over it. The models
guide is the nearest file for the factory and the contract module, and
its chain has ample room.

* fix(models): address review on the reasoning contract

- vLLM dialect: the enable path now mirrors whichever chat_template_kwargs
switch the template declares, like the disable path already did, so a
template using the older `thinking` key no longer also grows
 `enable_thinking`.
- Validate operator-supplied effort values at `effort.path` inside
 `when_thinking_enabled`, `when_thinking_disabled`, and the `thinking`
shortcut against the contract, not only the profile-level value; they are
forwarded when the caller chooses nothing, so the "unknown values never
reach the provider" guarantee now holds for them too.
- Constrain `effort.path` to dotted identifiers and reject single-segment
paths that would replace a whole mapping (`extra_body`, `thinking`,
 `model_kwargs`, `default_headers`, `default_query`).
- Z.AI GLM-5.3-Flash profile: `default: high` instead of `max`, because the
default also governs summarization, title generation, and subagent calls
that never choose an effort; `max` stays selectable. Documented in the
config example, the configuration manual, and the design note.

* fix(models): close reasoning contract review gaps

* fix(models): preserve native Ollama reasoning config

* fix(models): keep native reasoning strings and project reasoning into the descriptor

- `ModelConfig.reasoning` also accepts the level string ChatOllama takes
 for gpt-oss style models (`low` / `medium` / `high`); the factory forwards
both the boolean and the string on the legacy path, so profiles that
passed `reasoning: high` through before the contract field existed keep
 loading and keep sending it.
- The assembly descriptor no longer excludes `reasoning` from
`model_parameters`: the native ChatOllama value and a declared contract's
dialect/history/effort change the request payload, so they now move the
 assembly fingerprint.
- e2e: the sidecar spec pinned the pre-contract body where a model without
effort control still received `reasoning_effort: minimal`; the preset is
now dropped for such models (the Gateway discarded it anyway), so the
assertion expects the key to be absent.

fix(auth): claim the first admin atomically instead of counting first (#5776)
* fix(auth): claim the first admin atomically instead of counting first

POST /api/v1/auth/initialize read the admin count in one session and
created the admin in another, with no lock between them. Two requests
arriving together with different emails both saw an empty system and
both became admins: reproduced over HTTP, two 201s and two admin rows,
after which setup-status reports an initialized system.

The endpoint is public and unthrottled, and during the pre-setup window
anyone who can reach the gateway can claim admin with a single request
anyway — that part is the first-boot design. What the race removes is
the only signal: without it exactly one request wins and the loser gets
409, so an operator who loses sees "already initialized" and looks into
it. With it, both succeed and the operator's setup looks ordinary.

The check and the insert now share one transaction in the repository,
with writers serialized first — SQLite takes the write lock up front
(BEGIN IMMEDIATE) and Postgres a transaction-scoped advisory lock, the
idiom the project and channel repositories already use. The same
repository serves both backends, and multi-replica deployments make the
race genuinely parallel rather than an event-loop interleaving.

create_first_admin returns None when the claim is lost, which the route
reports as 409; uniqueness conflicts still raise ValueError and stay a
400. The count in the handler is now only a fast path that avoids
hashing a password for an already-initialized system.

AUTH_DESIGN.md said concurrent initialization was backstopped by a
database unique constraint. No such constraint exists — email
uniqueness only catches the same address submitted twice — so it now
describes the claim that does the work.

* docs(changelog): note the atomic first-admin claim (#5776)

* fix(auth): refuse a dialect the first-admin claim cannot serialize

Review follow-up. The claim's serialization handled sqlite and
postgresql and fell through silently for anything else, which would
leave create_first_admin as the plain check-then-act it exists to
prevent — the one place the abstract method's atomicity contract is
enforced.

An unknown dialect now raises instead. The engine builds only these two
today, so this guards a future backend: it fails loudly at first boot
rather than quietly reopening the race.

fix(gateway): treat a blank GATEWAY_HOST/GATEWAY_PORT as unset (#5801)
os.getenv's default only covers an unset variable, so `docker run -e
GATEWAY_PORT=` — or `GATEWAY_PORT=${PORT}` with PORT unset — reached
int("") and aborted the create_app() import that both entry points run.
Blank now falls back to the declared default, while "0" stays a real port.

fix(channels): resolve the Buzz seen-event store path off the loop (#5759)
_start_channel built the default seen-event store path inline, and
Paths.base_dir resolves through realpath. Channel startup reaches that
wiring from POST /api/channels/{name}/restart, so every restart ran a
filesystem syscall on the Gateway event loop; the rest of the same
function already keeps its disk IO in a worker thread.

The existing wiring test stubs get_paths with a plain-string base_dir,
so it cannot see the syscall. The new anchor keeps the real Paths object
and isolates it with DEER_FLOW_HOME instead.
